Principalities of Latrant

The Principalities of Latrant are a collection of small city-states that have little in common with each other, besides their proximity. There is no cohesion between them to form an actual nation, and frequent small wars are conducted in the area. Citizens tend to refer to themselves as “Kontrayan, “Veran”, or “Korvan”, depending on whether they hail from Kontraya, Lona Vera, or Korvair. Once part of the Pithic Dominion, after the Coastal Wars with the Korannon Empire, the nation of Latrant was formed, and lasted only 21 years before fracturing into chaos. The constant struggles in the area have restricted any sort of large-scale influence on foreign affairs. They have, however, given rise to many small groups of mercenaries, including the internationally respected Guild of the Crag, an elite group of cross-trained warriors who won much recognition for their services both in and out of the Latrant region.

The paired cities of Va’Quish and Mer’Quish sit astride a river. Strong ties to Draconic heritage, as well as the natural spirits of the region.
